Campus Safety responded to a report of something burning in the dorm. The source was burnt corn in a Styrofoam container. The area was ventilated.

The parent of a student was transported to the hospital following slipping on the ice while clearing his daughter鈥檚 car of snow.

Campus Safety transported a student at their request to the hospital for chest pain.

Campus Safety responded to a report of two dining employees smoking marijuana in a vehicle. The employees were observed walking into New Dorm Dining. There was a strong odor of marijuana in the area of the car and on the owner of the vehicle when he was located. The Dining Supervisor was notified, and the employee was not permitted to continue working for the day.

Campus Safety responded to a report of natural gas at the rear of Goodhart. Campus Safety could not locate any odor or source. 

Sunday, January 21 | 9:19 p.m. Well-Being Check | Rockefeller 

Campus Safety contacted a student and advised to call her father when he could not reach her. She had been sledding at the time. 

Monday, January 22 | 2:40 a.m. | Information Received | Merion Ave at New Dorm 

Campus Safety responded to a report of a vehicle parked in the crosswalk with its hazards on for some time. Police were called to identify the vehicle's owner. The owner does not appear to be a Bryn Mawr student. The vehicle was ticketed and will be towed if it is still on location at the start of the day.  

There were no other significant incidents to report.

Campus Safety responded to a report of a vehicle parked in the crosswalk for a length of time with the hazard lights on. Lower Merion PD responded and cited the vehicle when the owner of the car could not be determined to be a student.

Campus Safety checked on the well-being of a student at the request of a concerned parent. The student was found to be okay and contacted the parent. 

Tuesday, January 23 | 10:58 a.m. Medical Response | Pem West 

A student was transported via ambulance to the hospital for a leg injury.   

Wednesday, January 24 | 5:15 p.m. | Burglary | Rockefeller 

A student reports items discovered missing from her room upon her return from break. No one was authorized by the student to enter the room. 

Thursday, January 25 | 12:53 a.m. | Disturbance | Rockefeller 

Campus Safety responded to a report of a disturbance in a room. Campus Safety found a student who appeared upset and had a cut and swelling on their bottom lip.  They stated that a friend had been staying over but had left campus. The student claimed that the injury was from lip biting. A short time later, Campus Safety responded to another disturbance and found an individual in the room. It was advised that the individual should leave, and an escort was offered. The student refused the offer and took the individual off campus.

Campus Safety responded to a report of males yelling in the area. No description could be provided, and nothing was found.

Students report being yelled at by males in a dark SUV and having an egg thrown at them. The students were transported back to campus, and a police report was filed.

Students reported being harassed by males in a dark-colored SUV and having a drink thrown at them. Lower Merion police responded, and a report was filed.   

Friday, January 26 | 8:54 a.m. | Harassment | Merion Ave  

Students report that during the early morning hours, a dark SUV approached them, and the male occupants yelled racial slurs at them. The students declined police assistance but were transported back to their dorm by campus safety.

Campus Safety responded to a well-being check for mental health concerns. The student spoke to the appropriate resources and was judged to be okay to remain on campus with a later follow-up.

Campus Safety responded to a report of a student vomiting in the bathroom after consuming wine. The student was found to be alert and able to walk without assistance. The student remained on campus with friends for the remainder of the evening.

A college employee states that the passenger side mirror was damaged when he swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway.

Campus Safety checked on a student at the request of a concerned parent. The student was located and advised to call their parent.

Campus Safety responded to a report of a loud party taking place in the hallway. Students turned down the music and cleared the space.

Campus Safety responded to a report of a disturbance in a room. The parties stated that they were arguing about laundry and dinner. Both parties stated that they realized that the argument was trivial and stated that they would be leaving campus together to travel out of state.

Campus Safety transported students to their apartment after encountering an older male behaving erratically off campus.

Students reported a gas odor in their rooms. The source was found to be a stove in the dining kitchen. Facilities responded.

A concerned parent contacted Campus Safety at Haverford and Bryn Mawr as well as local police about the whereabouts of her daughter. Haverford police located the student on a local trail. She was safe and not in distress.

A student reported that a cat was hanging out of a first-floor window. The cat was located inside a room. The window was secured.

Campus Safety responded to check the well being of a student for a concerned parent that had received a low blood sugar alert for their daughter. The student was contacted and was aware of the low levels. The student followed her protocol and contacted her parents.

Students reported that a vehicle had driven by with the occupants throwing items and yelling profanities. While on the scene, a Campus Safety officer observed two vehicles drive by and the occupants exhibiting the same behavior. A license number was obtained from one vehicle, and a report was filed with LMPD.

A 鈥淔riendship鈥 pole was discovered to have been moved to Senior Row from Pem Arch. The other pole was found behind Pem East, knocked over and graffitied with paint.

Police were contacted and advised a male from surrounding neighborhoods that he was forbidden to enter college property. The male had continually called, threated to show up to 鈥渃lear the encampment,鈥 and was seen on campus prior to police notification.

Campus Safety observed a male visitor on the ground in the parking lot. The male apparently fainted and struck his head. He was transported to the hospital via ambulance.

A staffer for the Debate camp reported that approximately 100 campers were not in the dorm for the 9:30 curfew. It was believed that the campers were playing hide and seek on campus. The campers were apparently very skilled as they were not located until staff reported all accounted for at 11:20 pm.

Campus Safety was notified by Lower Merion PD that they were responding to campus for a medical emergency.  A Debate camp student had consumed a marijuana edible and was experiencing the effects. He was transported via ambulance to the hospital for evaluation.

Campus Safety responded to the check the well-being of a student at the request of her mother. Mom stated that her daughter's blood sugar was low and dropping. Student was found to be okay and advised to call her parent.

Campus Safety was alerted that a tree had fallen and brought power lines down. PECO and police were notified. Campus Safety placed barriers blocking the road.

An individual became stuck in the elevator as a result of loss of power due to downed wires. Facilities was contacted and the individual was able to get out.

Campus Safety provided assistance to police with an injured deer. The deer fled the area.

Campus Safety transported a student to the hospital at their request for an anxiety attack.

8:32 a.m. | Well Being Check | Denbigh

Campus Safety checked on a student at the request of a coach after missing practice. The student was located and advised to contact the coach.

3:43 p.m. | Fire Alarm | Old Library

A fire alarm was activated due to an electrical issue. Facilities notified.

6:28 p.m. | Institutional Vandalism | Campus Center

Campus Safety discovered that someone had written various words in black ink on the ceiling tiles.

11:35 p.m. | Fire Alarm | Denbigh

Campus Safety responded for a fire alarm. No fire or smoke were detected. Facilities responded to reset the alarm.

Friday, August 23

5:21 p.m. | Medical Transport | Campus Safety

Campus Safety treated a student for a cut on there hand. The student was then transported to the hospital for further treatment.

11:17 p.m.| Fire alarm | Old Library

Campus Safety responded for a fire alarm. Unknown cause. The alarm was reset.

Saturday, August 24

2:42 a.m. | Fire alarm | Denbigh

Campus Safety responded for a fire alarm. Unknown cause. Alarm reset.

An unauthorized bat was reported in Brecon. The bat was not located. A description of the bat was passed on to Campus Safety staff.

Campus safety staff assisted a student changing a bandage.

Sunday, August 25

2:26 p.m. | Facilities Notification | Park

Campus Safety responded for a report of a water leak. Facilities notified.
