WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT AUDITIONS:
No preparation required! Please wear comfortable clothing for moving around and come as you are. Sign-up sheets will be posted outside the audition room at the beginning of each audition session--please choose a specific time then. Auditioners will be seen on the hour, in small groups. You may audition on either day, at either college.

Students interested in taking intermediate or advanced dance courses should attend the first day of class during the first week of classes to have priority consideration for the desired course. The main contact for placement is the Director of the Dance Program, Dr. Lela Aisha Jones, ljones2@brynmawr.edu. When the semester begins students may contact the faculty for each desired course. Please refer to the course catalog and the dance program website to find the appropriate faculty. All of our advanced dance courses require you attend the first day of classes so that your Professor can assess you and confirm your placement in the course.

Join the Haverford-Bryn Mawr Chorale or Chamber Singers this Fall!
Chorale and Chamber Singers
The deadline to audition for Chamber Singers is Wednesday, September 4. Chamber Singers will meet for the first time on September 5. The deadline to audition for Chorale is September 10. Chorale will meet for the first time on September 11. If you are auditioning for both groups and wish to be considered for private study, one audition slot will suffice.. Those seeking an audition should reach out to Nathan Zullinger nzullinger@haverford.edu directly. Singers should expect the following at the audition:
- Prepare a small excerpt of an art song, aria, musical theatre piece, folk song, hymn melody, etc. anything that shows your voice! Be prepared to sing a cappella.
- Additional exercises will be used to determine range, pitch accuracy, musical literacy, etc.

Pianists are expected to play a piece of their own choice as well as sight reading.

The Orchestra currently has over seventy members and performs a wide range of repertoire. The group normally performs twice a year and also performs with the Haverford Bryn Mawr Chorale.
Private Piano and Instrumental Study Lessons can be taken for one-half graded credit per semester.
