Latinx Heritage Month Kick-off

Sunken Garden
Mujeres* kicks off a long month of fun activities with a picnic-style event with guest speaker and Director of Athletics, Physical Education, and Recreation Cristina Fink. Festivities also include a pi帽ata and catering from local Central American restaurant El Merkury.
Mujeres* PJ and Karaoke Party
Friday, September 16, 7-9 p.m.
ECC Lounge
Wear your PJs and come join Mujeres* for a karaoke party! It will be a chill night in the ECC where students can casually build community and have fun while singing and sharing songs that bring everyone together.
Field Trip to El Mercado Cultural

Transportation leaves from Pem Arch
is a Fleisher Art Memorial initiative contributing free creative and marketing resources to Spanish-speaking merchants, restaurant owners, and market vendors. Artists from the program will be presenting and selling their wares at Spruce Street Harbor Park. Transportation will be provided to the Latinx flea market for students to interact and buy from the community.
Salsa & Guacamole Competition
Wednesday, September 22, 5 p.m.
ECC
Come out for an ECC event where students can share their favorite salsa recipes with other students. There will also be a group of judges in the name of friendly competition. Catering from will also be provided.

Azalia Sprecher-Hidalgo '18 will be presenting her thesis, the History of Latinx Students at Bryn Mawr. Hidalgo was the first Mujeres* Archivist and she is passionate about recording and preserving Latinx Mawrter history.

Join Mujeres* for a time to come together, cook, and share your cultural dishes with other students. are required for cooking times in the ECC or community kitchen, but cooking is not required to participate.

Bring a picnic blanket and join Mujeres* for field day! It will be an outdoor event in Perry Garden where students can lounge, play games, relax, and enjoy catering from .
Art with Fleisher
Wednesday, October 5, 5-7 p.m.
Taylor Drive
is a program from Fleisher Art Memorial dedicated towards bringing BIPOC art to the forefront. The ColorWheels van is a mobile art studio equipped with tools and supplies that will be visiting campus to guide community members in hands-on culturally inspired workshops.
Chamoy Time

Sunken Garden
Come out to try , a new brand of chamoy that is carb and sugar-free. The creator of I Love Chamoy was inspired by her father's experience with diabetes and made her chamoy so that it could also be enjoyed by those with diabetes. There will be popsicles and fruit for students to enjoy with the chamoy, as well as a raffle for students to win their own bottles.

is a community-based cultural organization that works to preserve, develop, and promote Puerto Rican arts and culture. They serve as an educational resource to empower students to embrace their Latinidad through the arts.
