The Association was founded in Tuscany in 2009 by Anna Cavalli, MD, and Giorgia Tacconi, Ph.D. It supports and accompanies women involved in situations of violence by creating safe spaces for meeting and free expression through various initiatives.
The event is in Italian and co-sponsored by Praxis.
Abstract:
Talking between women represented the beginning of feminism. Women who talk to each other beyond conventions and roles are experiencing a transformative moment. Whether it's a women's refuge or a more informal conversation between women, what can happen is the emergence of what Betty Friedan called "the nameless problem." Starting from this shared feeling of unease, of restlessness, we will try to open up, together with the students, to political interpretations that have to do with the search for one's own words, the relationship with the body, and the deconstruction of the dream of love.
ӰԭӰ welcomes the full participation of all individuals in all aspects of campus life. Should you wish to request a disability-related accommodation for this event, please contact the event sponsor/coordinator. Requests should be made as early as possible.
