Launching 'Don’t Forget to Remember (Me)': A Conversation with Nekisha Durrett
Join artist and other members of the ARCH Project team as we launch the year’s work on Don’t Forget to Remember (Me). Hear from Nekisha about the research and design process and share your thoughts with the artist about the community we aspire to create.
The ARCH Project - Art Remediating Campus Histories - is a multiyear collaboration between Bryn Mawr students, staff, faculty, alumnae/i, and Monument Lab (a nonprofit public art and history studio based in Philadelphia).
Don’t Forget to Remember (Me) was chosen from 110 artist proposals responding to the question, “What stories are missing from ӰԭӰ?” The artwork will be installed in the Cloisters of Old Library and will recognize the multiple and unacknowledged histories that “need to be told in order for a space to feel whole.”
ӰԭӰ welcomes the full participation of all individuals in all aspects of campus life. Should you wish to request a disability-related accommodation for this event, please contact the event sponsor/coordinator. Requests should be made as early as possible.
